Deep in thought, he looked up and there, etched into the grain of one of the bridge’s posts, he was convinced that he saw the words…
‘Choose now’…..’Decide’.
There is another card called the Choosing Bridge, which is so important because it’s about becoming aware and realising that in every moment, you always have the power to choose.
However the words on the bridge are “Choose now” and “Decide.” There is a big difference between choosing and deciding.
Choosing feels flexible. If you choose a path today and it no longer fits, you can make a new choice tomorrow. You can adjust. You keep a sense of freedom. There is less pressure to get it right or to be perfect.
When you decide, it can feel heavier. There is more pressure to get it right, because other options seem to close down, and making a change later can feel as though you have failed. You are committed to a path.
However, when you are truly sure and have made up your mind, this deeper level of commitment can be a powerful thing. It can give you focus, direction, and the strength to follow through, and in that way, it can be extremely beneficial.
Choosing feels softer. It allows you to align with where you are in the moment and to evolve. Choosing can be light and playful—you can experiment with where you place your attention.
Making a decision, can be powerful and transformative. Remember, you can always choose when you are ready to make that decision and commit to a new path.
