Enough Rest – Lack of Rest

As well as enough sleep, enough rest is also extremely important.

Our nervous systems become over-aroused and over-stimulated easily. Being over stimulated and over aroused can give us a lot of energy. but over time leave us run down and in need of recharging our batteries.

Rest helps us to manage our energy supplies. The important thing is to be aware of what depletes your energy levels.

Lack of rest can lead to feeling stressed, fatigued, emotionally drained, irritable, having poor concentration, less clarity of thinking ,overwhelm, lack of enjoyment………

It is natural for sensitive people to find that busy, noisy places or spending too much time socialising (varies for each individual) can be draining because of over arousal.

The important thing is to be aware of what depletes our energy levels and then make sure we restore them by resting.

walking in quiet places

working in the garden

Peace and quiet is particularly important.

Our energy levels are always changing.

We need to be mindful and manage our energy and find what works best for us.
