You may well think surely it is better to be positive rather than negative… and of course that’s true.
However, there is still a problem with positive thinking and
it is this
thinking you have to think yourself into feeling positive or
thinking you have to think positively all the time so you feel positive……………..this is especially true if you feel bad because you have anxiety.

You don’t have to feel positive to be positive.
When you are suffering anxiety you feel bad.
Acting in a positive way is totally different from feeling positive. Taking action by…
changing your breathing,
listening to a hypnotherapy audio,
walking in nature…
are all great positive steps improving how you feel even if they don’t make you feel positive straight away.
This saying sums it up-
‘success is not where we stand it is the direction we are moving in‘
It doesn’t matter how you feel as long as you’re moving in the direction of feeling better.
Trying to positively think your way out of the problem is not the answer .
Sometimes positive thinking can be like sprinkling perfume on manure. You are just covering up the problem.
Remember positive thinking on its own in the wrong way can be a problem.
Taking a positive step or steps is always the best way out of anxiety.
