When we have the unpleasant sensations, we also have anxiety thoughts with them.
These thoughts may be:
‘I can’t cope’
‘I think I am going mad’
‘I’ll never have a normal life again’
..................................
..................................
We buy into these thoughts and believe that they are true.
We keep focusing on them and so the anxiety cycle persists.
To stop the anxiety, we need to change our focus towards these anxiety thoughts.
If we change how we view them, we will break the habit and pattern of anxiety - and overcome our anxiety.
